3 Moves You Can Make to Increase FCS Awareness in 2021

About the Session

As the world looks for ways to rise to the unprecedented challenges we have faced in 2020 and tackle the obstacles already standing in the way of so many, we know that a simple solution already exists to foster across the board improvements of many of the issues facing society today: Family and Consumer Sciences. Now more than ever, every word and every minute counts as you recruit, prepare and support FCS educators.

The National Partnership for Recruiting, Preparing and Supporting FCS Educators will host #FCSsuccess:  3 Moves You Can Make to Increase FCS Awareness in 2021.  In just 60 minutes, this webinar will help you learn how easy it is to communicate the relevance of family and consumer sciences by targeting your audience, tailoring your messages and tossing old communication habits.

About the Presenter

Nancy Bock,  AAFCS Executive Director
Nancy has experienced a successful career in family and consumer sciences after earning a BS and MS degree in Education. Her career began as a Home Economist with the Department of Agriculture.  She later worked in two states for the Cooperative Extension Service; Family, Career and Community Leaders of America; and the American Cleaning Institute. In 2019, she joined the AAFCS staff as Senior Director, Communications and Marketing. Her decision to become an educator was greatly influenced by her aunt that taught home economics on the secondary level for many years. She has earned numerous awards for her educational efforts from the American Society of Association Executives, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences to name a few.  She has been a member of AAFCS for 20+ years.  Her work is her passion but in her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, volunteering, recipe testing, family history and working on her book.
