Open Access Webinars - Technology in FCS

Incorporating Apps and Tools into FCS Classrooms

Webinar Description:

As educators, it is important to realize that technology is a tool, not a panacea.  If you are interested in enhancing your lesson plans with fun apps and helpful websites that will engage your students, you won’t want to miss this event!  Edmodo, Google Docs, Super Teacher Tools, Big Huge Labs and Quizlet are just a few of the resources that will be discussed.  But wait . . . some of these are not apps – does that make a difference? Are you looking for creative new ways to integrate tablet apps into your lesson plans?

After the webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Design technology based activities to evaluate student learning
  • Have students use technology to create projects that show what they have learned using 21st Century Skills
  • Differentiate instruction by using technology to meet the learning styles of all learners
  • Identify grants available to incorporate technology (STEM) into your FCS classroom
